The American Museum of Paramusicology is an independent archival, research, and media project exploring the spiritual imagination, creative freedom, and cultural liminalities of American music across genres, metaphysical traditions, and cultural backgrounds.
Since 2020, AMP has developed an ongoing archive, research, and media education practice encompassing the AMP Journal, podcasts and audio documentaries, interviews, print publications, recordings, lectures, exhibitions, and other projects (see, quick links below). AMP has been built almost entirely through my own labor and personal resources, and through ongoing periods of financial constraint. I currently sustain myself through low-wage and freelance work, which limits the time and resources I can devote to AMP. As a one-person project, its ability to grow depends directly on the time and resources available to it.
Financial support helps sustain AMP’s research, preservation, publication, and public development while creating capacity for new investigations, collaborations, and projects. I’m currently developing the AMP Press as a series of linocut relief-print booklets, co-producing new musical releases, working on book-length projects that synthesize the broader research, and cataloguing & digitizing the archive for public access and online exhibitions.
